Hi All,

Tonight's HW:

• Read 30+ minutes and take AR test if possible.  9% of goal today
• Flash cards study.  Only study the focus number you are on.  Start with 3 cards, until you are a pro then add one each new study.  By Friday you should be a pro at your current focus number.  Treat for every focus number you pass on Friday!
• Spelling: 5 Times each of missed words
• Fluency: Time for one minute and add number read too.  Remember quiz on Friday over fluency!
• Writing: You are taking a journey down a yellow brick road.  What happens?  Write for 10 minutes
• Math:
• Neuman: 2-4 R, 2-5 P
• Wells: 2-5 P, Vocab pg
• Ramirez: 2-5 P

We began our math rotations today.  Essentially students will have me for homeroom and possibly have another teacher for math.

Library opens next week, our day is Thursday.

Hi All,

What a week! We completed our first social studies rotation and it was full of hands on learning!   Today we also took our first math assessment on pearsonrealize.com.  Make sure to show your parents the site and your grade.  We will start our math rotations on Tuesday and science rotations the following week.  As if that isn't enough we also had our first AR reward today.  All those on track with 3% of their goal received nachos at lunch.

• Remember to figure out your weekly percentage:

• Example:  If my yearly goal was 80 and I needed 6% of my goal on Monday;

• Fluency: A Mummy Mystery: Have someone time you for one minute.  When time is up place a line under or circle the word you stopped on.  Count all words up to the last word you read.  Write that number on the side under a "Tuesday".
• Writing:  Write 5 goals you have for yourself for the entire year. Write until you have completed the prompt.
• Read for 30 minutes
• Spelling: Choose one Tic-Tac-Toe assignment.  Do on a piece of paper.  For the other nights use the same paper.
